How to make money with bets on or against hits

The “Over/Under bet” can call itself the second most popular type of bet. Precisely speaking, the 22Bet on an “Over” usually means that at least 3 goals must be scored in a match, since the “Over 2.5 goals” is the standard version. Conversely, for an “Under”, meaning “Under 2.5 goals”, a maximum of 2 goals may fall in order to be below the magic limit of 2.5 goals. In the various betting forums on the Internet, you can almost always be sure in the field of soccer that the classic form “Over/Under 2.5 goals” is meant, if the number of goals is not explicitly specified. The tip on an additional over at higher or lower odds is always indicated with the number of goals. For example, the forum world speaks of a tip on “Over 4.5 goals” or “Under 3.5 goals”. Furthermore, there is the rather rarer form of Asian Over/Under – bets, where also “money back – bets” can take place, which will soon be thematized here with us.

THE RULES

Few traps are built into the “Over/Under – Bet”. The translation from English should be familiar, so that an “Over” symbolizes the bet on a higher number of hits than mentioned in the betting slip and an “Under” expresses the opposite. Exceptions can be found only in the case of additional game times. In the most popular sport in the world, soccer, extra time does not count as a bet, but is settled individually. A goal scored in normal injury time, on the other hand, can still cause you to win or lose your bet. In other sports, the interpretation of the rules is not always clear. The best example remains basketball. Whether in the NBA or in European leagues, points scored in overtime count in the “over/under” bet. Consequently, in basketball an “under tip” can be destroyed very quickly by an unplanned overtime.

EXAMPLE- Bundesliga match

As with the “three-way bet”, a Bundesliga match is used to illustrate the payout. Assume that in the Bundesliga – top match Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund received the following fictitiously chosen odds for Over and Under in the direct duel:

• Over 2.5 @ 1.70
• Under 2,5 @ 2,25

A bet on an Over 2,5 is won from a number of goals of 3 and would be rewarded with a return of 70%. A tip on the Under could even amount to 125% profit compared to the bet and thus ensure a payout of 22.50 euros with a 10 euro bet, but is also somewhat riskier, as the odds already want to make clear. The net profit is always calculated with the payout minus the previously placed bet according to the following formula:

(stake * odds) – stake = net profit.

Never forget in your documentation of bets made to take the net profit as the main factor. Many players only compare the payouts with the lost stakes, forgetting about the stakes placed, which are not part of the profit.
